AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES This course consists of two modules. The first module provides skills in mathematical methods applied to engineering, focusing on functions of several variables, Fourier series, and complex-variable functions. The second module focuses on rational mechanics, providing students with foundational knowledge in the mechanics of material systems and the ability to apply analytical mechanics to solve complex mechanical problems. PREREQUISITES Mathematical contents of the first year (Mathematical analysis, Geometry). SYLLABUS/CONTENT Multiple integrals. Fourier series and application to periodic signals. Functions of a complex variable and use of residues. Analytical mechanics. RECOMMENDED READING/BIBLIOGRAPHY Lecture notes provided by the teachers.
