OVERVIEW

The course proposes a critical and operational exploration of the empirical methods that can be used for the analysis of user experience (UX) and for the study of human behaviors and interactions in digital contexts. In line with the interdisciplinary approach of Digital Humanities, the course combines the theoretical foundations of cognitive sciences with the proper use of methodological tools from the social sciences and usability assessment.

Organized in two integrated modules – Cognitive Ergonomics and Qualitative-quantitative Methods – the course is aimed at students interested in understanding and improving the relationship between people and digital technologies, with particular attention to the quality of interaction, the comprehensibility of interfaces and the satisfaction of the end user.
