SYLLABUS/CONTENT The course 2026-27 concerns the short novel by F. Dostoevsky "The White Nights" (with Italian Translation included). The text analysys is based on any single linguistic part of each fragment with specific attention payed to the way Russian words become adjectives, adverbs, verbs or substantives according to the rules of словосочетаемость русского языка. Using the Italian translation, each student can also learn how the assimetry between two languages is represented by f-equivalent (but formally different) linguistic units. RECOMMENDED READING/BIBLIOGRAPHY The text required is specifically: Fedor Dostoevskij, "Le notti bianche", Milano, Rizzoli (collana BUR). With Italian translation by L. Salmon.
