Information updated until 30/06/2026 CODE 98173 ACADEMIC YEAR 2026/2027 CREDITS 6 cfu anno 1 INGEGNERIA GESTIONALE 11924 (L-9 R) - GENOVA SCIENTIFIC DISCIPLINARY SECTOR IIND-05/A LANGUAGE Italian TEACHING LOCATION GENOVA SEMESTER 2° Semester TEACHING MATERIALS AULAWEB AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES The course provides the student with the notions and methodological tools to measure the efficiency in resource use in logistics and production systems AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES Attendance and active participation in the proposed training activities (lectures and group exercises) and individual study will allow the student at the end of the course to: Understand operational activities related to logistics and industrial production Distinguish the main phases of the production logistics process Analyzing the main phases of the production logistic process with reference to qualitative and quantitative analysis and resolution techniques. Providing specific skills that allow students to apply and solve the typical problems of managing logistics, production and service systems. In addition to these learning objectives, the active and interactive teaching methods will allow the attending student who will actively participate in the lessons to acquire the following transversal skills and soft skills: Personal competence basic level: identify one's skills, concentrate, manage complexity, reflect critically, make decisions, work independently PREREQUISITES There are no specific requirements TEACHING METHODS The twelve topics will be developed approximately over 12 weeks of frontal lessons divided into two days of lessons per week. The lessons will be held with the support of power point presentations and held in Italian. The course will include examples and exercises to be carried out independently or in groups that will require the use of simple automatic calculation tools (typically calculator) in order to allow the student to be able to use the economic and engineering knowledge acquired in simple decision-making cases concerning the evaluation of the production system and the optimal use of resources. Attendance is therefore recommended. Students with valid certifications for Specific Learning Disorders (SLD), for disabilities or other educational needs are invited to contact the teacher and the School/Department disability representative at the beginning of lessons to agree on any teaching methods that, in compliance with the teaching objectives, take into account individual learning methods. The written exam is passed if the student obtains a grade greater than or equal to 18 in the test. The written test includes some exercises aimed at assessing the ability to apply the concepts and methodologies illustrated during the course and some open questions to evaluate the acquisition and understanding of the theoretical topics covered. The written exam will assess the level of knowledge of the main concepts and the ability to solve simple exercises.
