AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES The course covers the basic elements of mathematical analysis. The concepts of integral and generalised integral of real functions of one real variable are introduced. Some types of differential equations are studied. In particular, students are able to apply this knowledge to the study of functions of a real variable and to the solution of simple practical problems in the pure and applied sciences. AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES The course aims to develop the ability to read and formulate simple mathematical models by introducing and studying the toolsof mathematical analysis: functions, derivatives, integral, equations and systems of differential equations. PREREQUISITES The mathematics contents encountered during the previous training course.are required. TEACHING METHODS Froontal lessons,Practise SYLLABUS/CONTENT Approximation of a real function using polynomials.
