AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The module includes a theoretical introduction and a practical/experiential phase of the use of English in professional public settings (corresponding to level B2 of the CEFR). The mastery of English is increasingly necessary in job interviews, presentations, face-to-face or remote meetings; hence the need to strengthen and consolidate oral language skills but also the ability to address an audience and effectively organise meetings and presentations in English. The module aims to provide an overview of the art of public speaking also through videos by experts in the sector and to structure one's presentation in the classroom in order to overcome linguistic and extra-linguistic obstacles that can pose a problem to effective performance before a public.
