AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES The course offers students the theoretical and methodological knowledge to analyze the characteristics that define contemporary welfare systems. The main objective is to offer the necessary tools to understand the social and political context in which they will work. Starting from the analysis of the dynamics of social change, the course will focus on the main concepts that define the architecture of contemporary welfare systems, with particular attention to local and national specificities. At the same time, the course aims to address some transformations (demographic dynamics, work, models of cohabitation and transition to adult life, among others), which, due to their role and the dynamics that characterize them, have a strong impact on welfare AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES The main objective is to provide basic knowledge regarding the architecture of contemporary welfare state systems, with particular attention to the specificities of the Italian case. At the same time, some of the main dynamics (demographic, economic, etc.) that define the framework within which social protection systems are situated will be addressed.
