CODE 101763 ACADEMIC YEAR 2026/2027 CREDITS 9 cfu anno 1 SCIENZE DEL TURISMO: IMPRESA, CULTURA E TERRITORIO 11912 (L-15 R) - IMPERIA SCIENTIFIC DISCIPLINARY SECTOR LICO-01/A LANGUAGE Italian TEACHING LOCATION IMPERIA SEMESTER 1° Semester TEACHING MATERIALS AULAWEB OVERVIEW LITERATURE AND TURISM does not propose a systematic study of the history of Italian literature, but focuses on the relationship between places and literature, proposing reading by authors who have set their works in existing and recognizable places. At the same time, the course deals with the ways of enhancing places in relation to literature (literary parks, festivals, author's houses). AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES The course proposes an approach to the study of Italian literature closely linked to places. They may be places of inspiration for poets and writers or setting for literary works, places of production and use of literature itself (literary parks, festivals, events, museums, author houses, archives). The course therefore provides the theoretical reference points for categories such as literary place and landscape, and it studies authors and works, of the Italian and local panorama, in order to develop cultural awareness and dissemination skills in the field of cultural tourism AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES At the end of the course the student: will have acquired awareness of the link between literature and places and will have an adequate theoretical basis on the fundamental concepts of landscape and literary place; will be able to master the technical language typical of the discipline to mediate and communicate clearly with specialist and non-specialist interlocutors; he will be able to autonomously evaluate the possibilities of valorisation in a tourist key on a literary basis and will be able to develop targeted valorisation projects; he will therefore have developed a disciplinary competence that allows him to continue to study authors and themes typical of teaching in the working contexts in which he will work independently. PREREQUISITES No prerequisite, only motivation towards reading literature. TEACHING METHODS Lessons will take place face to face. The course will proceed by major themes. Readings of significant texts will be proposed with different didactic methods, frontal, flipped and also in the form of exercises. The III part dedicated to Genoa will have a practical approach.
