Two modules are included: "Molecular basis of diseases" and "Pathophysiology and Immunopathology". AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES The course of Pathology and pathophysiology aims at providing students with the in-depht knowledge of the molecular mechanisms, the alterations of functions and the loose of control mechanisms underlying the most important human diseases . In the first part of the course, molecular basis of degenerative diseases, progressive, neoplastic pathologies and the pathogenesis of the main metabolic disorders will be studied. In the second part of the course, the main pathophysiological conditions as well as the immunopatholgical disorders will be studied. The deep knowledge provided in this course will be fundamental for the professional activity in the field of nutrition/foods as well as in the research activities or clinical laboratory practice.
