LEARNING OUTCOMES

The teaching aims to provide basic elements to navigate the world of computing and essential knowledge of how computing can be crucial in enhancing physical and sports activities.

The aim of the course is to illustrate the following topics:

• representation of information
• basic hardware and software components of a computer
• fundamentals of computer networks
• image coding
• basic information to create and use worksheet and presentations

None.

In presence.

Any Student with documented Specific Learning Disorders (SLD), or with any special needs, should contact the Lecturer(s) and to the dedicated SLD Representative in the Department before class begins, in order to liaise and arrange the specific teaching methods so that the learning aims and outcomes may be met.

• Information representation
• Hardware and software computer architecture
• Basics of networks and image coding
• Tool for producing worksheet and professional presentation

• the way in which information can be represented and stored in a computer;
• the key characteristics of hardware, software, computer networks and image coding;
• how to use the most important functions of internet and how to create worksheet and presentation.
