AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The educational objective of the teaching is to deepen the knowledge related to the guidelines for a healthy diet at different stages of life in relation to physical activity. In particular, the needs of specific individuals will be considered, such as children, pregnant women, and the elderly.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

At the end of the module, the student will be able to illustrate and justify the guidelines for healthy eating for the general population. It will be able to illustrate and justify how these guidelines should be adapted to the needs of particular individuals such as children, pregnant women, the elderly, athletes and top-level athletes. He will know the peculiar characteristics of diet in the prevention of chronic-degenerative diseases. 

TEACHING METHODS

In-person lessons.

Synchronous online teaching activity guaranteed in case of emergency (weather alert, pandemic).

Any Student with documented Specific Learning Disorders (SLD), or with any special needs, should contact the Lecturer(s) and to the dedicated SLD Representative in the Department before class begins, in order to liaise and arrange the specific teaching methods so that the learning aims and outcomes may be met.
