AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The aim of the teaching, in light of theoretical knowledge, includes the application of different training programs through technical and practical activities.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

The course aims to provide practical tools and applied scientific knowledge for the effective planning and management of physiological responses to various types of training. Special emphasis is placed on the development and enhancement of performance in individual and team sports through the direct application of methodologies and techniques that allow for the adaptation and optimization of training programs according to the specific needs of athletes.

By the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Apply practical knowledge to develop operational skills through hands-on activities and the analysis of real-world cases, acquiring abilities immediately transferable to professional contexts;
  • Identify and address general issues related to athletic preparation and training management, providing a solid foundation for subsequent core courses in the Study Program.

TEACHING METHODS

The course includes in-person instructional activities with a practical component. Lectures will be primarily delivered at the CUS, in the Centro Polifunzionale di Scienze Motorie and sometime in classrooms, where students will have the opportunity to directly apply theoretical knowledge through exercises, hands-on practice, and the use of specialized equipment.

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

For detailed information on the content covered, please refer to the syllabus for the theoretical lectures, which comprehensively outlines the topics, specific objectives, and structure of the theoretical component of the course.
