The course aims to pursue the following objectives:

• Develop reflective skills regarding educational practice

• Be able to recognise relational, emotional, and institutional dynamics

1. Foundations of educational supervision

   • Origins and development of supervision in educational services

   • Definitions and functions of professional supervision

   • Differences between supervision, coordination, tutoring, and mentoring

   • The role of supervision in the quality of educational services

2. Models and tools of supervision

   • Models of individual and group supervision

   • Clinical, reflective, and organisational supervision

   • Techniques for observing and analysing practice

   • Case study, reflective journal and professional narrative, feedback and debriefing strategies

3. Collaborative dynamics

   • Communication in educational settings

   • Working groups and interdisciplinarity

   • Conflict management and relational challenges

   • Educational leadership and coordination

   • Supervision and the development of an organisational climate

4. Supervision, professional well-being, and burnout prevention

   • Work-related stress in educational professions

   • Coping strategies and professional self-care

   • Supervision as a space for support and containment

Oral exam

Students with SpLD, disability or other special educational needs are recommended to contact the professor at the beginning of the course to agree on teaching and exam methods which, according to the course’s objectives, take into account the modalities individual learning and provide suitable compensatory tools

For international students, texts and articles in English are available on request. The exam can be taken in English in the prescribed manner

ASSESSMENT METHODS
