LEARNING OUTCOMES

The course aims at introducing students to the main issues of organizational design and behavior, providing theoretical frameworks and managerial references for organizational analysis and design actions in work environments.

TEACHING METHODS

Students with disabilities, with SLD or with SEN are reminded that, to request exam accommodations, they must first upload their certification to the University website at servizionline.unige.it<https://servizionline.unige.it/>, in the “Students” section. The documentation will be checked by the University’s Services for the Inclusion of Students with Disabilities and with SLD.

At the beginning of the course, students are advised to contact the lecturer to agree on exam arrangements which, while respecting the learning objectives of the course, take individual learning needs into account.

To request compensatory tools or dispensatory measures, students with disabilities or SLD must fill in the dedicated Webform available athttps://unige.it/disabilita-dsa, at least 7 working days before the exam.

EXAMS

EXAM DESCRIPTION

The exam is written and consists of three open-ended questions based on the course syllabus.

For students attending the course, assessment includes mid-term tests, individual and group activities, and a final written exam. Non-attending students will take a single final written exam.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

Assessment aims to verify:

- understanding of theoretical concepts and their application to organizational situations (clarity of exposition, accuracy of terminology);

- the ability to analyze organizational problems and propose solutions (relevance and originality of proposals); - the ability to communicate clearly using appropriate technical language (precision and coherence).

The written exam may include both closed-ended questions—testing knowledge of basic concepts and requiring direct, concise answers—and open-ended questions requiring argumentation and practical examples.

Students attending the course may also be assessed based on activities carried out during the term, such as mid-term written tests, short individual or group assignments, or other documented contributions. In such cases, the final grade is based on a combination of the results achieved in these activities and the written exam.

Non-attending students take a written exam structured around the same competencies, featuring questions that require both theoretical explanation and application to specific examples or organizational situations.
