The course pursues a twofold objective: to develop critical thinking on the concept of "culture" and "cultural difference" drawing on the main schools, methodologies and research strands that the social sciences have elaborated on the subject. to understand what it means to study cultural and communicative processes ethnographically. EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES By the end of the course, students are expected to be able to apply critically the main theoretical, conceptual and methodological tools of the discipline. TEACHING METHODS The course favours a participation-centred approach that integrates different teaching methods: lectures, discussion and debate sessions, and presentations. SYLLABUS/CONTENT The course consists of an introduction to the Sociology of Cultural and Communicative Processes through an examination of the discipline's key authors and theoretical tools.
