Information updated until 30/06/2026 CODE 84601 ACADEMIC YEAR 2026/2027 CREDITS 12 cfu anno 2 YACHT DESIGN 11958 (LM-34) - LA SPEZIA SCIENTIFIC DISCIPLINARY SECTOR ING-IND/02 LANGUAGE English TEACHING LOCATION LA SPEZIA MODULES Questo insegnamento è composto da: SHIP PROPULSION PLANTS SHIP STRUCTURES OVERVIEW During the Ship Propulsion Plants module the operating principles of marine propulsion for different types of ships will be presented, with particular attention to the aspects related to dynamics and control. Both the theoretical/methodological and practical aspects will be illustrated, with particular emphasis on advanced design and numerical / implementation aspects. AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES The integrated teaching consists of the modules: 66288 Ship propulsion plants and 66289 Ship structures. The objectives of the two modules contribute to the final objectives of the teaching with the aim of developing theoretical and instrumental knowledge in the field of ship structures and propulsion plants. PREREQUISITES Knowledge of static methods for the design of marine propulsion. Basic knowledge of the principles of naval architecture. Principles of programming.
