AIMS AND CONTENT

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

The course aims to introduce students to the business world, with specific reference, wherever possible, to the pharmacy business.

TEACHING METHODS

The course takes place through traditional face-to-face lessons.

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

The course includes an introduction to the concept of a business and the different types of businesses, with a particular focus on commercial enterprises. It then goes on to explain the main business functions and their activities, using Michael Porter's value chain model as the theoretical framework. This analysis highlights the specific features of a pharmacy business and explores its challenges and opportunities.

EXAMS

EXAM DESCRIPTION

The exam is oral. It covers all the topics discussed in the course.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

During the exam, the candidate will need to show that they have learned the theoretical content, mastered the basic models, and know the specific technical terminology. They will also need to demonstrate, through proposing and/or commenting on concrete examples, a sufficient critical ability in reading the problems and identifying possible solutions.

Students with disabilities, SLD or SEN
