TEACHING METHODS The course takes place through traditional face-to-face lessons. SYLLABUS/CONTENT The course includes an introduction to the concept of a business and the different types of businesses, with a particular focus on manifacturing companies. It then goes on to explain the main business functions and their activities, using Michael Porter's value chain model as the theoretical framework. This analysis highlights the specific features of a pharmaeutical business and explores its challenges and opportunities. ASSESSMENT METHODS During the exam, the candidate will need to show that they have learned the theoretical content, mastered the basic models, and know the specific technical terminology. They will also need to demonstrate, through proposing and/or commenting on concrete examples, a sufficient critical ability in reading the problems and identifying possible solutions.
