CODE 117470 ACADEMIC YEAR 2026/2027 CREDITS 3 cfu anno 2 SCIENZE MOTORIE, SPORT E SALUTE 11886 (L-22 R) - SAVONA SCIENTIFIC DISCIPLINARY SECTOR M-PSI/02 LANGUAGE Italian TEACHING LOCATION SAVONA SEMESTER 2° Semester MODULES Questo insegnamento è un modulo di: PSYCHOLOGICAL SCIENCES IN SPORT AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES The teaching aims to deepen the psychological aspects of motor and sports activities, both at the individual and group level, with particular reference to the analysis and monitoring of psychological responses in training and competition, as well as the correlation between personality and performance. AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES The teaching aims to provide fundamental knowledge of Sports Psychology, deepening the main psychological aspects that characterize individual and team sports. The module aims to analyze the psychological processes involved in motor and sports activity, both at the individual and group levels. Issues such as analyzing and monitoring psychological responses during training and competition, the relationship between personality and sports performance, motivation, managing emotions, attention, and stress, as well as the main psychological factors that influence athlete performance, will be explored in depth. TEACHING METHODS Frontal lessons. Any Student with documented Specific Learning Disorders (SLD), or with any special needs, should contact the Lecturer(s) and to the dedicated SLD Representative in the Department before class begins, in order to liaise and arrange the specific teaching methods so that the learning aims and outcomes may be met. SYLLABUS/CONTENT Fundamentals of Sports Psychology: Psychology of sport, movement, and motor activity; the relationship between movement, sport, and emotions; motivation, competitive spirit, and sports performance. Main psychological schools and theoretical models of Sports Psychology, with in-depth research and intervention methods. Psychology of individual and team sports: group dynamics, training styles, and the development of the athlete's psychological skills, such as goal setting and pursuit, concentration, and management of mental energy, stress, and emotions. Elements of Clinical Psychology Applied to Sport: Conflict, Frustration, Performance Anxiety, Stress, and Main Models of Psychological and Psychotherapeutic Intervention in Sports.
