Rehabilitation of major neurological diseases.

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The teaching aims to study the rehabilitative aspects of the main neurological diseases, providing knowledge on the paths of motor re-education, on the therapeutic limits of the rehabilitation processes themselves, and on the remaining motor abilities.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

Rehabilitation of the main neurological pathologies, with particular reference to the treatment of clinical conditions that cause disorders of motor function. Treatment of upper and lower motor neuron syndrome, with particular reference to rehabilitation aspects.

TEACHING METHODS

Lectures with slides.

Students with valid certifications for Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), disabilities, or other educational needs are invited to contact the teacher and the School/Department disability contact at the beginning of the course to agree on any teaching methods that, while respecting the teaching objectives, take into account individual learning methods.

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

Patient rehabilitation with stroke.

Rehabilitation of the patient with aphasia and unilateral visuospatial hemi-inattention.

Non-invasive brain stimulation techniques and their application in rehabilitation.

Rehabilitation of the patient with neuropathy.

Upper and lower motor neuron syndrome.
