OVERVIEW

This teaching unit is intended to provide an overview of the morphology of low- and high-voltage rotating electrical machines. It also aims to equip students with the fundamentals of preliminary design methods for rotating electrical machines and with the basic principles for the diagnostic of electromechanical components.

 

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The module provides knowledge on the morphology of low and high voltage rotating machines, their preliminary design and the diagnosis of electromechanical components. In addition, it explores the basic and advanced elements of automation systems, their integration into factory information processes, and discusses design criteria for instrumentation, actuators, communication networks, control and supervision systems, with a focus on security and cybersecurity.
