CODE 118162 ACADEMIC YEAR 2026/2027 CREDITS 10 cfu anno 2 ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING 11925 (LM-35 R) - GENOVA TEACHING LOCATION GENOVA MODULES Questo insegnamento è composto da: GROUND ENGINEERING HYDROLOGY OVERVIEW The teaching is organised in two modules: Hydrology (first semester) and Ground Engineering (second semester). The Hydrology module provides students with the theoretical and practical foundations of hydrological frequency analysis, with particular emphasis on probabilistic methods for the assessment of extreme rainfall and flood events. Through lectures and hands-on applications on real hydrological datasets, students will learn how to analyse hydrological variables, estimate design rainfall and flood quantiles, and support hydraulic and water resources engineering applications through quantitative risk-based approaches.
