How it works

If the criteria for admission are met, candidates will have to undergo an assessment of the requirements before a committee to ascertain their general knowledge.

The examination takes place in the form of a written test or public interview and is aimed at assessing the candidate's general preparation, with particular reference to knowledge of the fundamentals and applied and professional aspects relating to the specific classes of engineering.

The candidate must also demonstrate adequate knowledge of the English language by providing appropriate certification or, in the absence thereof, by passing the B1 test organised by the Language Skills Development Sector of the University of Genoa (ex-CLAT UniGe). The English language proficiency requirement is also met if the student holds a qualification in English, to be certified by means of a document or official letter issued by the corresponding university and indicating that studies were carried out in English. If the previous conditions are not met, knowledge of English must be assessed as part of the aforementioned personal preparation test by the corresponding examination board. In the latter case, the ability to use the English language fluently also forms part of the subjects of this test.
