Admission Admission to the Doctoral Program is subject to passing a competition that is usually announced in the spring and published at the related page. The course in brief Presentation ADD is the acronym of the Doctoral Course of the Department of Architecture and Design of (DAD) of the University of Genoa, a catalyst of experiences and research proposals, with clear innovative will, in the Disciplinary Scientific Sectors that have at their center the concepts related to the project, the product and their relationships with the current procedural transformations. Its objective is to address, in an interdisciplinary and multi-scalar dimension, the broad domain of the environment, socio-habitat space and the material and immaterial artifacts that define it, having as its focal element design activity in terms of process, tools, and cognitive and operational apparatuses, aimed at addressing the new phenomena of social, cultural, spatial and material change that influence the environments of our everyday life, in our perceptual, creative and design dynamics and their relationship with the information and knowledge society. Training Objectives. The educational activity of the Doctoral Program in Architecture and Design is divided into two curricula, i.e., two major subject areas inherent in Architecture and Design, which are strongly related to each other and aimed at addressing the broad domain of the built environment and the new social, spatial and instrumental processes that define it in an interdisciplinary character dimension. The course is proposed as a research laboratory and cultural platform, with a clear referential ambition at the national and international level.
