This knowledge is verified by the certified acquisition of at least 3 CFUs of L-LIN/12 or 'foreign language proficiency - English Language' or a certification obtained not more than 3 years ago or, in their absence, by passing the B1 test provided by the Language Skills Development Sector (of the University). The language proficiency requirement is also fulfilled in possession of a degree in English language, to be certified by official document or letter from the university that granted the three-year degree, showing that the studies were conducted in English. International students who wish to enroll in this curriculum, delivered in the Italian language, must also possess certification of proficiency in Italian equal to the B2 level of the CEFR. In the absence of such certification, the student may still enroll but will have to take a specific Italian language proficiency test administered by the University's School of Italian Language and Culture to ascertain possession of the required level. Those who fail the test will have to attend free Italian courses organized by the University of Genoa to reach the required level of Italian language proficiency. Requirement of adequate personal preparation In addition to the above requirements, adequate personal preparation is a requirement for admission. Verification of personal preparation is done as a subordinate to the verification of curricular requirements, after pre-registration (See below). Adequate preparation is automatically verified for those who have obtained a bachelor's degree, Italian or foreign, or a degree judged equivalent during the verification of curricular requirements, with a final grade of at least 9/10 of the maximum grade for their degree or who have obtained a final grade corresponding at least to the "A" classification of the ECTS system. If... you graduated from UniGe If you graduated from UniGe with a recent degree (formerly DM 509), you must directly log on to the Online Services to make the pre-registration application. If your degree is not recent, you will need to upload your career data as a student who graduated from another university. NB: When filling out the application, please select the preferred date for the verification of requirements, meaning the date by which the Examination Board in charge will carry out the verification of requirements based on your career. The outcome of the verification of curricular requirements will be communicated to you by email. If your career does not meet the requirements you will be contacted by email and suggested a "bridging career" to fill the curricular gaps found. you graduated from another university 1. If you are an EU student and have a degree obtained in Italy Go to the Online Services where you will find links to: register on the UniGe portal make the pre-registration application with upload your study career, including: Graduation certificate including the list of exams taken (transcript of records) with the indication, for each subject of CFUs and the scientific-disciplinary field (if available); Brief description of the university where you obtained your bachelor's degree; Curriculum vitae; Letters of recommendation (not mandatory); Certification of knowledge of Italian language, if available (only for foreign candidates for IPC curriculum, delivered in Italian). Please note: When filling out the pre-registration application, please select the preferred date for the verification of requirements, meaning the date by which the designated Examination Board will conduct the verification of requirements based on your career and curriculum. The outcome of the requirements verification will be communicated to you by email. You can then confirm your matriculation, again by accessing Online Services.
