Learning objectives

The aim is the training of trainees prepared to provide each patient with the most valid solution to achieve
maximum oncological radicality with the best aesthetic and functional result. The trainees will be skilled in oncoplastic surgery, demolition surgery in breast surgery, reconstructive breast surgery.

The trainees will be able to perform oncoplastic surgery, demolition surgery in breast surgery, reconstructive breast surgery. The trainees will be trained in the most effective solution to achieve the best aesthetic and functional result.

The participants should be able to place the patient and her oncological and reconstructive programme at the
centre of a multi-pronged decision-making process, and capable of guaranteeingthe most appropriate outcome for the patient, making her/him participate and be aware of the decision-making process.

All this so that breast cancer treatment should no longer be synonymous with mutilation for women, and so that care of the body should no longer be the cause of an illness of the soul.

Admission requirements

Study qualifications required for admission to the course:

  • Master's Degree (single-cycle) LM 41 pre-Ministerial Decree 58/2018, Single-cycle Specialisation Degree 41/S and degree in Medicine and Surgery obtained according to the previous regulations plus qualification to practise as a Medical Surgeon;
