Deadlines

Enrollment in an open-access master's degree program

The deadlines for pre-registration are:

  • from 9 April to November 30, 2026
  • by March 10, 2027 with late payment (i.e. the tenth day following the deadline otherwise indicated by the teaching structures for graduation)

The confirmation of enrolment is active from 15 July 2026 to 30 November 2026 and until 10 March 2027 with late payment.

The deadlines indicated for enrolment in Master's degree courses refer to graduate students.
Students graduating after 30 November and by 26 February 2027 (or another late deadline set by the competent teaching structures) may enrol without payment of any late fees.

Enrollment years after the first

The deadlines are:

  • from 15 July to 5 October 2026
  • from 6 October and by 5 November 2026 with arrears

Out of the previous term* and beyond the normal term the deadlines are:

  • from 15 July to 5 October 2026
  • from 6 October and by 5 November 2026 with arrears

*For students out of course under the former system: exceptions submitted after the deadline of 5 November 2026 may be accepted by 31 March 2027.

Payment of tuition fees

Anno accademico 2026/2027

  • Prima rata:  €136, of which €16 for stamp duty + €120 regional tax (minimum amount)
    • At confirmation of matriculation or at the time of enrolment in years subsequent to the first
       
  • Second instalment: by 10 December 2026
     
  • Third instalment: by 23 June 2027

A late payment of €20.00 up to 30 days late and €52.00 over 30 days late will be charged.

Transfers

If you wish to apply for a transfer, the deadlines are:

  • Incoming transfer:
    • from 15 July to 5 October 2026
    • from 6 October and no later than 5 November 2026, with late payment
      this deadline applies to both the application for leave of absence from the other university and the application for enrolment at Unige; failure to meet this deadline will result in the payment of a late payment fee.
       
  • Incoming transfer to quota-restricted courses (years following the first): for these programmes, transfer applications may only be submitted following authorisation to be requested from UniGe and submitted by 28 August 2026 or by any other deadline specified in the relevant notices
    For the degree programmes in Medicine and Surgery, Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics, Health Professions and Architectural Sciences, a specific Admission Notice will be issued, setting out the deadline for submitting applications.
     
  • Transfer into the first year of open-access Master’s degree programmes:
    • from 15 July to 30 November 2026
    • by 10 March 2027 with a grace period (i.e. by the tenth day following the deadline otherwise specified by the academic departments for the award of the degree)
      this deadline applies both to the application for leave of absence from the other university and to the application for enrolment at Unige; failure to meet this deadline will result in the payment of late payment fee.
       
  • Outgoing transfers: for outgoing transfers, UniGe students must take into account the deadlines set by the other university.

Course transitions

Do you want to apply for a pass from one course of the University of Genoa to another course of the University of Genoa?

  •  Foropen access courses the deadlines are:
    • from 15 July to 5 October 2026
    • from 6 October and by 5 November 2026 with late payment
      N.B. you must confirm the transfer only after having sat the examinations of your previous degree course. With the changeover it will no longer be possible to take the examinations in the previous year's syllabus, even for courses that share some of the examinations.
       
  • For scheduled number courses within the deadlines set by the admissions announcements and any sliding procedures.
