The course in brief

Presentation

The course in Nursing and Midwifery Science aims to train professionals with advanced skills in the management of clinical care processes related to care outcomes. The master's graduate is a professional able to analyze and resolve complex situations, evaluate in interprofessional terms solutions to unresolved problems, and organize innovative care services based on the most up-to-date scientific research available.

Learning by doing

Teaching methodologies base learning on the development of critical thinking and problem solving. Problem Based Learning (PBL) sessions, workshops and journal clubs are offered in the classroom.

At the University Advanced Simulation Center - SIMAV teamwork scenarios are played out with subsequent debriefing supported by viedeoregistrations.

Professional outlets

Master's graduates of Class LM_SNT/1 intervene in clinical care, management, organizational, educational and research processes in the field relevant to the nursing, midwifery and pediatric nursing professions.

The master's degree also allows access to subsequent educational paths: doctoral studies, specialization, university masters, etc.

Contents

Through in-depth study of the discipline and analysis of evidence from scientific research, students acquire advanced care, educational and preventive skills in response to priority health problems and service quality problems.

They are able to identify the needs of the population and plan a coherent response to health services.

They are able to identify the needs of the population and plan a coherent response of health services, coordinate health area personnel management programs, and develop new methods of work organization, keeping in mind technological and information technology innovation and national and European Union operational standards.

The approach to care governance problems is integrated with other competencies of the health care area.
