The integrated course of Neurology is comprehensive of the following disciplines: Neurology, Psychiatry, Neurosurgery, Neuroimaging and Neurorehabilitation. The aim of the course is, then, to offer to the student a general teaching in Clinical and, partially, Experimental Neurosciences, so to give the basis for a general practitioner but also the opportunity of develop a specific interest in the disciplines.
Learning of the main neurological diseases. The student must be able to recognize the pathophysiological bases and clinical manifestations of the main neurological diseases and their complications. Furthermore, the student will have to be able to establish a diagnostic procedure and prognosis. The course also provides for the development of specific clinical skills and includes professional activities.
Knowledge of the Anatomy and Physiology of the CNS and PNS.
Bases of pathophysiology and mechanisms of damage (immunological, genetic, degenerative, oncological, vascular)
