OVERVIEW

The course introduces project management, i.e. the integrated management of complex projects.

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The aim of the course is to provide knowledge about the management tools necessary for the planning and control of complex projects. Furthermore, teaching aims to integrate technical, contractual, organizational and economic-financial aspects with examples and applications drawn from the company reality, in order to understand their relevance.

AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

The purpose of this curse is to provide the knowledge related to Project Management, necessary for the management of complex projects.

At the end of the course, the student will have developed the following skills:

-understand the context, functions, and processes in a business and industrial environment and the impact of these factors on business performance;
-design solutions by applying a scientific and engineering approach (analysis, learning, reasoning, and modeling skills resulting from a solid and rigorous multidisciplinary background) to address problems and opportunities in a business and industrial environment;
-interact professionally, responsibly, effectively, and constructively in a work environment, also motivating team members.

EXAMS

EXAM DESCRIPTION

Learning assessment takes place through a project and an oral test. The oral test consists of questions related to the topics  constituting the course programme. The overall evaluation is calculated as the average of the project and the oral exam.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

The project and the oral test assesses the ability to apply typical project management approaches, methods and tools.
