The Module aims at giving student a thorough knowledge and understanding of the main economic, legal, environmental and technological issues related to the implementation, management, availability and accessibility of the transport infrastructures (air, rail, sea, multimodal, road and inland waterways) and telematic applications of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) according to an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approach.
The Module is placed within the Maritime Passenger Transportation Law, Cruise and Tourism course. It aims at studying issues on implementation, availability, management, accessibility of transport infrastructures (air, rail, multimodal, road and inland waterway) and telematic applications of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T). This network is devoted to promoting interconnection and interoperability of the transport networks of EU Member States. The Module is focused on multimodality, sustainability and technological aspects related to transport infrastructures. It deals with legal, economic, environmental and technological issues on TEN-T based on a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approach. Academic activities are undertaken by lectures and guest speakers in a critical methodology approach in which transport infrastructure issues are considered, together with their several ensuing effects. They are carried out according to a European perspective. Students are directly involved by the elaboration of study projects devoted to stimulating the interaction with scholars, professionals, operators, representatives of associations and bodies which are active in transport sector.
The Module is intended to stimulate debate between University and students, through their active and critical participation in the analysis of issues which are relevant in the transport sector. It promotes also debate among lecturers and researchers involved in its activities according to their academic discipline.

The academic activities of the Module carried out by the lecturers are divided into four parts, namely: 1. EU Transport Infrastructure Law; 2. EU Transport Infrastructure Economics; 3. EU Transport Infrastructure Environment; and 4. EU Transport Infrastructure Technology.
The topics of the academic activities of the Module and the relevant calendar will be communicated in good time by Aulaweb online platform.
Instalments and extracts of reference books, articles published in national and international reviews and other publications will be provided in electronic format for the students of the Module. For a closer examination of the issues examined, publications in the University’s libraries, will be made available on request to students. Study material will be also provided by the AulaWeb online platform.
