The first module provides elements and methods for the identification and description of the main operating units and chemical reactors of industrial interest. Macroscopic scale models are adopted.
The second module of the course describes some of the main plants and processes of the chemical industry and its likely evolution in terms of decarbonisation and sustainability
The course aims to provide an in-depth knowledge and a critical analysis of the main processes of the chemical industry and its evolutions in terms of decarbonization and sustainability
A more than elementary knowledge of basic chemistry and the fundamentals of thermodynamics and chemical kinetics, mathematics and physics is useful. Working students and students with certification of DSA, disability or other special educational needs are advised to contact the teachers at the beginning of the course to agree on teaching and examination methods that, in compliance with the objectives of the teaching, take into account individual learning methods.
