The course introduces to a sociological approach to family as a social group
an in-deep knowledge on family transformation in current society
formal teaching; discussions and debate; students presentations
The course will use the films and images produced by the Laboratory for Visual Sociologi in order to address the topics of the syllabus.
The course will address the relationship between inequality and family in the following fields:
- schooling
- youth cultures
- migrations
- gender
- crime
