Course I B offers an introduction to Germanic Philology, paying particular attention to the history of the Germanic peoples and to the Germanic cultural and linguistic heritage in Italy.
Course I A is addressed to the second-year students learning English, German or Swedish and belonging to the "Lingue, letterature e culture moderne" line.
Course I B is addressed to the second-year students learning English, German or Swedish and belonging to the "Lingue e culture moderne per l'impresa e il turismo" line.

Course I A The oral exam will deal with the course topics, paying particular attention to the phonetical, morphological, syntactic and lexical evolution of the old Germanic languages. The evaluation will not only take into account the student's knowledge, but also his/her ability to use appropriate language and terminology.
Course I B The oral exam will deal with the course topics, paying particular attention to the socio-cultural evolution of the Germanic language area and to the the linguitsic and cutlure heritage in Italy. The evaluation will not only take into accpunt the student's knowledge, but also his/her ability to use appropriate language and terminology.
The course programm is valid until summer 2019
