• Grammar and syntax: tenses, passive, hypothesis, modals, adverbs, comparisons.
• Vocabulary: technical, false cognates, linkers, sequencers.
• Reading: comprehension, strategies, dictionary work, translating scientific texts.
• Listening: comprehension, phonetics.
• Speaking: discussion, problem-solving, communicative activities.
• Writing: comparing tables, reports, hypotheses, predictions.

General English at B1 level
- Multiple choice gap fill (10 marks)
- Writing (5 marks)
Scientific English
- English to Italian translation of a scientific text (15 marks)
(Dictionary is not permitted)
