OVERVIEW

The Laboratory on Family Intervention is an experiential completion of the theoretical teaching of family Psychology, that offer a space for the student’s active participation

AIMS AND CONTENT

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The workshop aims to provide the skills to work on the family, through instruments such as the Family Enrichment, Children’s groups on divorce, Family mediation, good practices for parenting evaluation and recoverability.

LEARNING OUTCOMES (FURTHER INFO)

Main objectives: developing the ability to apply learned theoretical models to concrete cases, increasing knowledges about some intervention tools to use with families, thinking about some group techniques in psycho-social work with families.

TEACHING METHODS

The laboratory provides an alternation between: Interactive lectures, exercises in subgroups and plenary, clinical cases discussion, role-playing. It will be proposed activities related to the analysis of family dynamics and reflection on methods of intervention

EXAM DESCRIPTION

In order to ensure learning, and to assign the credits required, exercises should be carried out between the meetings, subsequently discussed in the classroom.
At the end of the laboratory students have to deliver an individual paper.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

The methods of evaluation based on the following criteria: frequency, active participation in working groups, timeliness and adequacy written text.
