Course description
The course’ aim is to introduce students to the knowledge of all the maritime insurance coverages concerning not only ships and machinery but also goods to be carried and liabilities of shipowners and carriers
The course is intended to show a detailed panorama of the maritime and transport insurance system.
The Course proposes a detailed study of all the main maritime and trasport insurance coverages which are evaluated in respect of the peculiar needs of the maritime field.
Lessons, direct study and comments of relevant materials (laws, policies and clauses), and discussions with marine insurers
The course offers a preliminary studiy of the insurance pinciples provided for by Italian Law as well as Common Law and Scandinavian Law systems; subsequently a study of all themost important maritime insurance coverages concerning not only ships and machinery but also goods to be carried and liabilities of shipowners and carriers.
