Course description

The course aims at providing the main statistical tools for transportation data analysis. The main topics are primary data collection (survey methodologies), sampling, analysis of variance, regression and time series analysis.

Part of the course will be dedicated to the use of statistical software.

TEACHING METHODS

Lectures, computer lab lectures, case studies, homework and group work.

Assessment

Students that attend the course will be evaluated according to:

  1. A written exam
  2. A project work
  3. An oral exam

Students that do not attend the course will have to prepare a brief thesis on one of the main topics of the course instead of the project work.
