AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES The module PATOLOGIA DELL'APPARATO LOCOMOTORE E REUMATOLOGIA delivers what happens when injuries occur and how to treat and manage them. The unit aims to provide students with the knowledge of the patient's healing process, to define an appropriate rehabilitation action according to the biomedical and psycho-social model. As with all areas of physiotherapy, the assessment is very important; then, with manual therapy , exercise prescription and other therapies, musculoskeletal physiotherapy improves and prevents the disorders of the musculoskeletal system. LEARNING OUTCOMES (FURTHER INFO) The module PATOLOGIA DELL'APPARATO LOCOMOTORE E REUMATOLOGIA aims to provide students the ability to understand and solve issues related to: Know the trauma recovery and the clinical diagnosis of the patient; Know about Imaging to identify the main physioterapic controindications; Know about the surgical / conservative treatment for the relief of disorders of the musculoskeletal system. TEACHING METHODS Lectures are performed in all the teaching location by owners teachers and are explained with slides and videos. The Students/Teachers percentage report allows a direct comparison and an use of collaborative methodology, discussion about rehabilitation and working groups. The reinforcing phase and the resumption of normal activities: recovery protocols for strength and dexterity. The treatment phase of joint instability. The management of functional outcomes: therapeutic treatment for soft tissue injuries, preparation for re-interventions, ADL and aids, prevention of deformities. Improve patient mobility and enhance both his independence and quality of life. Instrumental Therapy: physical and therapeutic effects; main selection and use of Instrumental Therapy: a. Electrical stimulation: the effect of innervation, denervation, and muscle type: the precise stimulus to work the muscle as much and as efficiently as desired (Kotz, Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) and so on) b Electroanalgesia: definition, technology and indications; Gate control and TENS Therapy, Interferential c Ultrasound d Electromagnetic radiation: pulsed short wave diathermy, Infrared, UVA/B/C, Soft Laser, Magnetic field e ESWT (Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy) and Tecar therapy f Thermal therapy and Thalassotherapy RIABILITAZIONE IN REUMATOLOGIA - Rehabilitation for Rheumatic Conditions - Functional Evaluation and Rehabilitative Approach to Rheumatics: Ratio of the patient's state of health with rheumatic problems according to ICF and load capacity. - Rehabilitation management of the main impairment conditions in the patient. - The planning of physiotherapy intervention - Physiotherapy in hip and knee arthrosis - Physiotherapy and Osteoporosis - Evaluation and treatment of neck pain - Evaluation and treatment of lumbar pain - Evaluation and treatment of thoracic pain - Extra-articular rheumatism and Physiotherapy - Physiotherapy and CRPS I - Rehabilitation in rheumatoid arthritis - Rehabilitative intervention in nervous compression syndromes SCIENZE FISIOTERAPICHE IN ORTOPEDIA E REUMATOLOGIA General principles of treatment of injuries of the locomotor system in polytrauma: REHABILITATION IN THE MAIN SHOULDER PATHOLOGIES: a.
