PATOLOGIA DELL'APPARATO LOCOMOTORE E REUMATOLOGIA
The module PATOLOGIA DELL'APPARATO LOCOMOTORE E REUMATOLOGIA develops a thorough understanding of the main diseases of the Locomotive Apparatus , in Trauma/Orthopaedics and Rheumatology; Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy intervenes to recover the disturbances of the locomotive system and compasses all the “ hands on ” manual techniques and exercise prescription for the relief or prevention of disorders of the musculoskeletal system.
AIMS AND CONTENT
The module PATOLOGIA DELL'APPARATO LOCOMOTORE E REUMATOLOGIA delivers what happens when injuries occur and how to treat and manage them. The unit aims to provide students with the knowledge of the patient's healing process, to define an appropriate rehabilitation action according to the biomedical and psycho-social model. As with all areas of physiotherapy, the assessment is very important; then, with manual therapy , exercise prescription and other therapies, musculoskeletal physiotherapy improves and prevents the disorders of the musculoskeletal system.
The aim of the class is to deliver the basic scientific knowledge to interpret the trauma and rheumatological recovery to improve the quality of life for the patient on a daily basis and to describe the right rehabilitation based on ICF model. To achieve this, it is important to evaluate and monitor the signs and symptoms of the patient, to know the main measurement rehabilitation scales and how to decline the rehabilitation treatment according to the patient's clinical history.
