Provide analytical and procedural skills on intertextual and intermedia products. At the end of the course the student is able to read and understand the texts in the foreign language and is able to use narrative methods and basic tools to interpret the works of the main authors, contextualizing them in culture and in the historical reference period, also exploiting the ICT tools. TEACHING METHODS Lectures, group work, flipped classroom SYLLABUS/CONTENT PROGRAM A FOR ATTENDING STUDENTS (75%) The course will focus on the survival of the French culture of Ancien Régime in contemporary French culture. Literary and cinematic works directly inspired by texts of the time will be presented: prosecutions of novels, adaptations of novels and plays, texts set in the era. Constantly reference will be made to the reading of theoretical texts and texts. Works that will be studied: C. Attending students (75%): The candidate will have to choose an anthology extract of those in the program and will have twenty minutes to prepare it. Following exposure of the contents of the text, it will be asked to the candidate at least one question for each of the areas and periods treated. In examination assessment will be taken into account, as well as knowledge of the program to be performed (topics covered in class, reading and analysis of texts proposed during the lessons, the materials made available on aulaweb platform and readings of three full texts) also the exhibition and accuracy skills in the use of the specific discipline language. Non attending students: The candidate must demonstrate the knowledge of the program that will be attested by a computer test prepared by the teacher. Only those who have received a score of 8/10 could take the oral test. During the exam the candidate must demonstrate that he has read the texts and is able to disclose its content, literary and generic features, stylistic features in relation to the author's and the period and movement or literary school. In the evaluation of the examination, besides the knowledge of the program to be carried out, the ability to exhibit and the accuracy in the use of the specific language of the discipline will be taken into account.
