Spanish 2 consists of Spanish language lessons, with practice of the four language skills (called Lettorato) taught in Semester 1 and 2 by V. Filipetto and a Theoretical Module (taught in Semester 2 by E. Errico).
Spanish 2 aims at encouraging reflection on the economic and political role of Spanish in international relations and research using Web resources to develop C2 CEFR skills.
Theoretical Module
The course aims at providing an advanced understanding of the features of oral political discourse in the media in Spain and in Spanish America, from a Pragmatics and Critical Discourse Analysis perspective.
Lettorato:

Lectures and language lessons.
The oral political discourse in the media (interviews, talk shows, etc.) from a Pragmatics and Critical Discourse Analysis perspective. Authentic materials in Spanish will be analyzed, looking at the relationship between language, ideology and power that emerges from them.
Lettorato
Analysis of morphosyntactic structures, including from a contrastive perspective with Italian. Reading and discussing texts on current affairs. Production of different text types in Spanish summarizing Italian texts (mediation).
Consolidation of lexis and idioms; analysis of implicit meaning; analysis of different registers and recognition/use of regional varieties.

A written test for the Theoretical Module and a written and oral test for Lettorato.
