Moreover, the history of Italy in Middle Ages and in Modern Age is very closely related to the history of the Jewish communities, which played a key role in the economic and political development of cities like Genoa. No particular preliminary knowledge is required. AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES Learning Outcomes Learning the basis of Classical and Biblical Hebrew grammar; studying modern Hebrew phraseology (used by tourists visiting Israel); being introduced to Hebrew culture and civilization (art, literature, music, theatre and cinema). The oral exam will include written tests to assess students' knowledge of the Hebrew alphabet and pronunciation.
