To this end, the theoretical study will be supported by case studies oriented at the acquisition of consulting methodologies that allow us to propose solutions and to give reasons for the choices in the presence of moral dilemmas AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES The course aims at providing a basic knowledge of the main issues related to the ethics of communication and professional ethics, in order to foster students consciousness. The theoretical approach will be integrated by a case-studies analysis and the acquisition of methodologies allowing the students to find out practical solutions in presence of moral dilemmas or conflicts . AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES Knowledge: the relationship between ethics and applied ethics; the specificity of communication ethics ; the forms of communication ethics; the main models of communication ethics; ethical relationship in communication professions Skills: decoding and critical analysis of philosophical texts dedicated to communications ethics; ability to analyze cases study and identifying possible solutions Competences: development of ethical competence as construction of moral judgment; use of conceptual "instruments" aimed at solving moral dilemmas; identification of interdisciplinary links TEACHING METHODS 1. Lectures, at the beginning of the course, aimed at providing the concenttuali tools, key words and expressions 2. Interactive lessons based on students' questions and request. it is, also, provided lessons peer to peer The lectures will be supported with the use of slides, films, testimonies that will be published in aulaweb SYLLABUS/CONTENT The program is divided into three parts: 1. Introduction to ethics and the relationship between ethics and communication ethics Definition of ethics; the ethical questions; the action; ethics and applied ethics; the specificity of communication ethics; communication ethics and ethics of responsibility in the age of technology 2. Forms and ethical models of communication The meanings of communicating; the standard communication model; communication as a creation of a common space; forms of communication (deontological approach; the ethics of communication; ethics in communication); communication ethics models: the human nature based model, the dialogical model, the audience model, the utilitarian model; the communication community model 3.
