advanced course designed to outline , both historically  and theoretically, the main aspects of contemporary moral debate with a stong attention to the need of theoretical faundation. The course requires an interest in ethical and meta.ethical themes

exploring the main themes and currents of contemporary philosophical reflection on action (praxis) which originated within the classical tradition   

TEACHING METHODS

Oral lessons. A paper about an argument of the course must be presented and discussed  during the lessons or before the oral exam

 

 

 

SYLLABUS/CONTENT

Contents for students who are taking  the 6-CFU course:

Is-ought question, natural fallacy , inventing right and wrong.  The practical philosophy before  the practical philosophy between issues of new foundation and the 'new rethoric'

Contents for students who who are taking 9-CFU course:

The course will adress two main areas:

1) Is ought-question, natural fallacy inventing right an wrong.  The pratical philosophy before the practical philosophy between issues of new fountation and the 'new rethoric'

2)An outline of  the history of ethics since Kant
