The course aims to provide basic backgrounds of media history from its origins to today, through the analysis of media - but also of communication - in contemporary times, in the course of historical cracks (wars, emigration, etc.)
The course aims at providing knowledge and interpretative tools on the role played by the mass communication media in the dynamic of social history.
Students will have to acquire adequate knowledge and effective understanding of the main issues of contemporary age, analyzed through media development
Front lessons, using multimedia media. Laboratory lessons
discussion of the issues related to the use of communication tools, especially during some major events such as the Great War, Migrations etc. Attention will also be reserved to the use of media as a propaganda tool of Fascism
