CODE 90518 ACADEMIC YEAR 2017/2018 CREDITS 10 cfu anno 2 INGEGNERIA CHIMICA E DI PROCESSO 10376 (LM-22) - SCIENTIFIC DISCIPLINARY SECTOR ING-IND/24 LANGUAGE English TEACHING LOCATION SEMESTER Annual OVERVIEW Course is based on the analysis and simulation of chemical processes at different scales. AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES Course objective is multiscale analysis and computer simulations of chemical processes. AIMS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES Students will familiarize with the most popular commercial software used nowadays in the process industry. TEACHING METHODS Lectures and application of simulation techniques to problems of practical relevance in the process industry. SYLLABUS/CONTENT Simulation and modelling of industrial processes at different scales: molecular modelling, discrete elements, CFD, systems. Practical example of modelling and simulations applied to process and chemical engineering systems.
