The 1st module of the teaching provides the main tools necessary to the study of environmental processes: chemical equilibrium of ideal systems and macroscopic balances of mass and energy. Examples of application in the environmental engineering field will be proposed. The 2nd module will provide an in-depth knowledge of Inorganic and Organic Chemistry topics, focusing on compounds and reactions involved in technological and natural processes, their properties and their impact on the environment. Concepts of general chemistry will be recalled.
For a successful learning, basic knowledge of chemistry, mathematics and physics is necessary, but no formal prerequisites are required
