The course also deals with techniques and substances commonly used for the maintenanca of skin omeostasis, the correction of its dysfunctions, and problems linked to skin ageing. AIMS AND CONTENT LEARNING OUTCOMES The course is aimed at providing basic knowledge about the physiological mechanisms governing skin processes, and the techniques for the maintenance of skin homeostasis, correction of dysfunctions, and problems linked to the ageing of skin tissues. TEACHING METHODS Class lessons and and teaching materials on the University’s AulaWeb platform. SYLLABUS/CONTENT Epidermis, dermis and cutaneous annexes, hair and baldness, dermal glands, melanogenesis, skin functions, skin nerve system, skin diseases, natural substances used in skin care, wound healing, screening of active principles used in skin care and disease.
