OVERVIEW

The aim of the course is a Level B2/C1 (advanced); the student will acquire a strong competence in the fields of lexicon and communication and will be able to pass ministerial international examinations

The course is balanced between the study of new grammatical topics and the development of a solid lexical and communicative competence. Students are invited to write regularly several texts whose themes correspond to the program of the course.
During the teaching the students will explore various grammatical topics such as: the declination of numerals, the system of motion verbs, the prefixation of nouns, adjectives and verbs.
Particular attention is also devoted to the development of communicative and lexical competence. Students will be invited to read and listen to various texts related to the following themes: Polish emigration in the world, life abroad, life in Poland during the socialist period (PRL), youth language in Poland, internet, the Polish press.
4-5 hours per week. Lectures, written and oral exercises, exercises with audiovisual materials, particularly on the issues highlighted in the previous point. Reading- and understanding exercises of complex texts: newspaper articles, literary fragments

EXAM DESCRIPTION

During the academic year there are 4 intermediate written tests for the test (written and oral) at the end of the year that will allow the progress of the student to be evaluated and supported if his / her knowledge is weaker. In the exam it will be possible to ascertain the completeness of his/her preparation also in an oral debate.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

During the academic year there are 4 intermediate written tests for the test (written and oral) at the end of the year that will allow the progress of the student to be evaluated and supported if his / her knowledge is weaker. In the exam you will be able to ascertain the completeness of its preparation also in an oral comparison, in which the student will demonstrate to know how to easily express both on the themes studied during the year, with their specific terminology, and to understand a complex text (eg newspaper article) not read previously.
